Signs to spot sexual assault and steps to take
Work on tackling sexual assault is always ongoing. We aspire that every child is free to be a child and enjoy his childhood without fearing anyone. Following are some signs to see if your child is going through some kind of assault.
Changes in behaviour
The child may become aggressive, withdrawn, clingy, have trouble sleeping, have regular nightmares, or wet the bed.
Physical problems
The child may develop health problems, including soreness in the genital and anal areas or sexually transmitted infections, or they may become pregnant.
Avoiding the abuser
The child may dislike or be afraid of a certain person and try to avoid spending time alone with that person.
Problems at school
An abused child may have difficulty concentrating and learning, and their grades may start to drop.
Sexually inappropriate behaviour
A child who has been abused may behave in sexually inappropriate ways or use sexually explicit language.
Giving clues
Children may also drop hints and clues that the abuse is happening without revealing it outright.

What is the experience and background of the people associated with Tavishi?Our venture is supported by the Resolution Project, New York. Our founders, Harshula Jhala and Ayan Ray, have more than 6+ years of combined experience in working with various social causes. Children are our priority, thus we ensure to work with experts who are well-equipped to communicate with them. Our counsellors have experience ranging from 3 - 15 years of working with parents and children. The team at Tavishi also undergoes regular training to not only gain knowledge but also enable them with skills that can aid them in providing the required support to individuals.

What are the key things Tavishi is trying to accomplish?Tavishi is aiming to educate children and parents on the following topics via interactive workshops: Child Abuse Prevention Internet Safety Awareness Gender Sensitization Anti-Bullying We also want to raise awareness about good touch and bad touch and basic self defense techniques so that children can be equipped with the skills and knowledge to defend themselves wherever required. We want to increase awareness by sharing informative posts and accessibility to resources via our digital mediums.
